Right now in Chechnya, gay and bisexual men are being abducted, beaten, tortured and forced into labour camps.
The Russian and Chechen governments claim this can not happening because a) there’s no gay men in Chechnya (or Russia), and b) if such men did exist, their families would have disposed of them before.
But we can help.
The Russian LGBT Network is evacuating LGBT people from Chechnya, but they need help financially.
This is why through April 23 (and perhaps longer), I’ll be donating 100% of my royalties through all ebook retailers to the Russian LGBT Network to help.
And I’m not alone. Dale Cameron Lowry has set up a central page to list all the gay romance and gay fiction authors who are also donating their royalties.
He even put together an excellent FAQ to answer questions and concerns about donating to the Russian LGBT Network, and links on where to donate!
And we’re putting together an online auction, which you can sign up for here.
So if there’s a book of mine you’ve been waiting to read or you want to share with your friends, now is the best time.
And please share this blog post on social media to spread the word! Thanks 🙂
Books can make the world better.
